WINTERSTOKE Hundred Academy is pleased to report some outstanding achievements by its students in their A-level and vocational qualifications this summer.

The results are particularly impressive from a group of students who have demonstrated hard work and resilience in their approach to their studies.

Highlights included the performance of Amber Hawkins, who achieved three As in Biology, Environmental Science and Spanish and is now going to study Environmental Science at Exeter University.

Sky Fern, who achieved ABB in French, Law and Spanish and is going to study French and International Relations at St Andrew’s University.

Madeleine Fisher achieved ABB in English Language, English Literature and Law is now going to study English at Bristol University.

Alice Bird, who achieved AB in English Literature and History and a Distinction in BTEC Sport and is going to Loughborough University to study Media and Communication, and Ely Byron who achieved D*D*D* in Art and Design Diploma.

Matt Randle, Winterstoke Hundred Principal, said: “We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students.

“They are a fantastic group of young people who have contributed significantly to our school culture and ethos in their two years with us.

“Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students received the best provision and support to enable progression into further education and employment, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.”

Steve Taylor CEO of the Cabot Learning Federation said: “Many congratulations to all of the students across the Cabot Learning Federation who are collecting their results today at the end of 14 years of education.

“We have some exceptionally fine young citizens moving onto to exciting destinations in record numbers – they are a real credit to themselves and their communities.
