STAFF at a Weston restaurant said they are “grateful to all their guests” after being shortlisted for an award.
Mimi’s Thai Bistro has been shortlisted for the regional ARTA Award (Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Award) thanks to customers’ feedback.
A message from the restaurant staff said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for the ARTA Award.
“We have also recently received the prestigious Thai Select Award from the Government of Thailand.
“Our cooks have over 100 years’ experience between them of cooking traditional family style Thai food.
“Nothing makes us happier than seeing people enjoy our food.
“We are incredibly grateful to all our guests for nominating us. Thank you so much.”
Nominees were chosen based on nominations by customers from across the UK, including over 900,000 customers of ARTA’s strategic partner ChefOnline, Social Media and Food Hygiene Ratings, followed by a final judgement of an esteemed judging panel to crown each region’s Asian excellence.
Speaking about the Asian Restaurant & Takeaway Awards 2024, Mohammed Munim, founder member and CEO of ARTA, said: “Asian restaurants and takeaways have made a significant contribution to the UK economy, both historically and in recent times.
“They deserve recognition and rewards for their efforts.
“These restaurants & takeaways have not only created thousands of jobs but have also boosted local economies through their presence, especially post Brexit.”
The final event will take place on Sunday, October 6, at London’s Royal Lancaster.
