Ahead of the return of Strictly Come Dancing to television screens, an Afternoon Social Dance will takeover the Winter Gardens.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 3, from 2pm to 4pm.
Dancers of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the event at the iconic venue in Weston-super-Mare.
Mark Helmore will be the musical host, with attendees able to enjoy ballroom, Latin and sequence dance tunes.
Non-dancers can also attend and enjoy the atmosphere from the accessible balcony.
The event has been organised by volunteer Tansin Benn, who leads a dance class for Age UK Somerset.
Ms Benn said: "Research has shown that music and dancing are the best activities to support social, mental and physical well-being amongst older people, so it would be wonderful if people came along to only enjoy the music and join in the dancing and also to support the charity that makes our sessions possible."
The event will raise funds for Age UK Somerset to help continue their 75 activity and exercise sessions each week.
Demonstrations will be given by dancers from two of Age UK Somerset’s classes, showcasing what they have learned in their weekly sessions.
Entry will be £8 for dancers and £4 for anyone wanting to enjoy the music, dancing and atmosphere.
A fundraising raffle will also take place, with prizes donated by local businesses.
For tickets or more information, call 01823 345612 or visit the Age UK Somerset website.
