WESTON Rotary Club has made a £1,000 donation to the Children’s Hospice South West.
Whilst some members of Weston Rotary Club were helping with the RNLI collection, in keeping with the organisation’s motto, Service Above Self, others were visiting Charlton Farm at Wraxall, to present a donation to Children’s Hospice South West, resulting from their recent successful Charity Golf Day.
Weston Rotary President, Helen Green, said she was “humbled to be in such wonderful surroundings with a home from home feel, where staff and volunteers work with children and their families, making the most of short and precious lives across the South West”.
For their next fund raiser, Weston Rotary is once again holding their annual Christmas Charities Fayre.
This year, located in a new venue at the Sovereign on Saturday, November 9, from 10am, it will give smaller, local charities the opportunity to showcase themselves to a wider audience.
