AN AWARD-WINNING festival of international outdoor arts is set to return with a continental flourish to the Italian Gardens in Weston-super-Mare this weekend.
Whirligig Festival, a two-day, free family programme of amazing circus and outdoor arts shows from UK and Europe will be in Weston on September 7 and 8.
The festival will offer an eclectic mix of acts and high-octane performances, topped up with a vibrant, seaside energy is set to enthral audiences from near and far.
It will run daily from 12pm - 6pm, with the North Somerset Samba Band parading along the High Street to the Italian Gardens from 11.30am on Saturday to herald the start of the festival weekend.
Fiona Matthews, creative director at Super Culture, said: “It’s nearly time for Whirligig, one of our favourite weekends of the year.
“Head down to the Italian Gardens to keep those Summer vibes rolling with this year’s eclectic mix of shows from all over UK and Europe, plus colourful opportunities for Weston’s flamboyant arts community to shine.”
