Weston-super-Mare Civic Society will start its autumn series of talks next week.
The first, which focuses on the Donate for Defib WsM Project, is set for September 9 at 7.30pm.
Joshua Bell, the co-leader partner, will discuss the need for more defibrillators in the community.
The following month on October 7, Jon Jones-Pratt, chairman of the West Somerset Railway, will tell the tale of the popular railway.
On November 11, there will be a talk about the state of highways and pavements, to be given by North Somerset councillor Hannah Young.
December 9 will see a Christmas Quiz hosted in the Civic Society by quizmaster Alan Rice.
Venues for all events will be Weston Museum in Burlington Street.
The Weston Photography Competition will close on September 30.
It aims to capture Weston's riveting architecture and is open to all people between 11 and 17.
Residents should look forward to the Whirligig Festival of Outdoor Arts 2024, Seaside Heritage Network's Big Day Out, Creating a Community Arboretum, all scheduled throughout September.
There will also be its Annul Awards which recognises improvements made to the townscape of Weston-super-Mare during the year.
