TWO Weston schools have welcomed their new executive headteacher this month.

Charlie Barwell has been named new executive headteacher at Becket Primary School and Hutton CE School.

A message from the school read: “This September, at Becket Primary and Hutton CE School, we welcomed our new executive headteacher, Charlie Barwell.

“Both schools and the Multi Academy, Kaleidoscope, are excited to have her bring her wealth of experience and expertise to our communities.

“Charlie joined us from Oxfordshire where she led 6 schools and supported the Local authority as a Math's Lead.

“Our families and children have remarked on her smile on the gate and according to the children, she is ‘sound’ - which we understand is good...”

The new executive headteacher said: “I am delighted to join two amazing communities, where I have been made to feel very welcome.

“I have been lucky enough to show off my juggling skills, introduce some rapping as well as score a basket from the other end of the playground; clear winning strategies in the children’s eyes.

“I am looking forward to getting to know each parent, carer and guardian over the coming months.”
