Heavy rainfall is forecast for later today (Sunday, September 29) prompting a flood warning for East and North Somerset as well as South Somerset.
River levels are expected to rise overnight into Monday which may lead to flooding of property, roads and low lying land near rivers.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brue and River Sheppey as well as River Isle, River Parrett and Congresbury Yeo.
Rivers are being checked for blockages while rainfall and river levels are being monitored.
Motorists are asked to avoid driving through flood water and monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
