A Weston-super-Mare performing arts company has won two regional awards.
RE:ACT Performing & Production Arts has been named Performing Art School of the Year 2024/2025 for Somerset by the Prestige Awards.
It has also been recognised as the Most Inclusive Performing Arts School 2024 in the South West by the Southern Enterprise Awards.
The company, which provides classes and theatre opportunities for young people across Somerset, Cardiff, and Bristol, was entered for the first time this year.
RE:ACT Performing & Production Arts caters to students aged four to 19, offering training in various disciplines, including performing and production arts.
It aims to create not only performers but also writers, directors, choreographers, and designers.
The training is delivered by expert, qualified, enhanced DBS-checked, and first-aid trained tutors.
The company also partners with a casting agency and offers regular workshops with Broadway, West End, and other creative professionals.
It has established links and opportunities with organisations such as The Tileyard Recording Studios in King's Cross, London, and offers discounted theatre trips and qualifications.
