A ONCE-dilapidated BMW that symbolised rock bottom for an entrepreneur after the collapse of his business is now being used to inspire struggling business owners.

Twenty years ago, 35-year-old Andrew Scott found himself at his lowest point—sitting in his clapped-out BMW on Weston-super-Mare beach grappling with a collapsed business, £100,000 of credit card debt, and a broken marriage.

Today, that same car, now with over 335,000 miles on the clock, has become a mentoring tool in his mission to inspire and guide the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Andrew's restored BMW is now parked proudly outside his thriving company headquarters at Ascot Group in Worle.

The vehicle is more than just a success story on wheels - it's a mobile mentoring station where Andrew transforms lives.

Nearly two decades after selling his old BMW for scrap, Andrew spotted the car still on the roads of Weston-super-Mare being driven by a retired construction worker.

After months of negotiation, Andrew bought back the battered car for £3,000 - ten times more than it was worth.

Andrew said: "I use this car to show others that rock bottom can be the foundation for incredible success.

“When businesspeople are at their lowest, I invite them to sit where I once sat, surrounded by failure, and show them how to turn it all around."

Resolving to turn his life around, Andrew had the inspiration for a new venture and founded a business from the kitchen table of a rented flat.

He has mentored over 1,000 start-up and scale-up entrepreneurs globally and founded Business Leader, Britain's biggest business magazine for entrepreneurs, which he recently sold to business tycoon Richard Harpin.
