FAMILY, friends, hundreds of young people and a community are sending tributes to an 18-year-old who died in a motorbike collision on the A370.
Alfie Gray, a former Priory School student, was hailed as a kind, gentle and compassionate teenager who thought of others before himself.
Since he died in a motorbike collision on the A370 last month friends and members of the community have been demonstrating their love and respect for the incredible young person.
Alfie had a passion for motorbikes and a love for people and life that was contagious.
Now his friends are planning motorbike gatherings, plaques and tributes at venues where they and Alfie used to meet.
They are also planning charity events for a charity linked to road safety and a Christmas toy drive delivering toys for children in hospital in Alfie's name.
They want his life and legacy to be remembered for ever.
On the day of Alfie's funeral, around 50 of his friends will be leading him for one final ride from his home to the seafront and then to Ebdon.
Mum Jennifer and Dad Kevin said: “Alfie was the kindest most incredible young person you could ever meet.
“He was 6 feet 5 1/2 but a gentle giant.
“He was so incredibly special. He absolutely loved his motorbikes.
“We want his memory to live on.
“His whole friendship groups have been incredibly supportive to us.
"They have kept us going in so many ways and have welcomed us into his lifestyle and biker family.”
Friends of Alfie have cherished the memories they hold of Alfie and have said: “I've never known a kid to be as happy as him, never heard a complaint from the years I've known him.
“Always giving his crazy wave as he rides by or when seeing us.
"The smiles he would bring to us all was something that can't be replaced.”
"His smile lit up the room and was contagious."
"He was always there for us."
Head teacher Angelos Markoutsas of Priory Community School said: “Alfie was a cherished student whose curiosity and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His integrity and generosity of spirit were truly inspiring.
“May his memory continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace."
