THE Horizon Health Centre has received a ‘Good’ CQC rating following a recent inspection improving from its previous ‘Inadequate’ grade.
The centre made a significant improvement from the previous “Inadequate” rating and reflects a range of improvements put in place by the practice team.
Dr John Heather, clinical director, expressed his gratitude and pride: “This transformation is a true testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team and a direct result of their commitment to provide excellent patient care.
“We have worked tirelessly to improve every aspect of our practice, and this rating reflects our collective efforts.”
Brandie Deignan, CEO of Pier Health Group, also celebrated the news: “This achievement is a significant milestone for us.
“The turnaround would not have been possible without the dedication and resilience of our staff, who embraced the necessary changes with passion and determination.
“We also want to thank our patients and the community for their patience and support.”
Lead GP, Dr Andrew Cummings, reflected on the improvements: “We are thrilled with this recognition, but this is just the beginning.
“We are fully committed to maintaining these high standards and continuously improving the care we offer.
“This is about sustaining the momentum and continuing to build trust with our patients.”
Rebecca Alford, executive practice manager, added: “It’s heartwarming to see how far we have come.
“From administrative staff to clinicians, everyone’s hard work and dedication made this possible, we are truly proud of what we have achieved together.”
Weston MP, Dan Aldridge, said: “It is great to receive another ‘Good’ rating at a local GP practice, following the Graham Road Surgery result in September.
“This is really positive news for patients, who will be assured of high-quality services. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work in transforming the services”.
The CQC, the Independent Regulator of Health and Social Care in England, assesses healthcare providers in five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well Led.
Horizon Health Centre has successfully achieved a “Good” rating across all of these domains.
Horizon Health Centre serves the local community as an essential healthcare service, providing a range of medical services to address the diverse needs of the surrounding area.
It specialises in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions, providing preventative care and health education.
