A new counselling service has opened in Worle High Street.
Discovery Counselling and Wellbeing Service offers one-to-one personal counselling for various issues, including stress, anxiety, and depression.
The service also runs regular mental fitness workshops and children and teenager groups to help them explore their emotions.
The counselling service was founded by Heidi, Shaun, and Nicola, all professionally qualified therapists who trained together at Weston’s University Centre.
Earlier this year, they began discussing the possibility of opening a private practice and soon found a suitable location.
Their aim is to create a counselling and wellbeing centre for the local community.
Discovery Counselling also provides an alternative to medication with their six-week mental fitness courses, which can also help to cut down waiting times for talking therapies.
The children's workshops and menopause wellness groups also focus on empowering clients for healthier and happier lives.
A spokesperson for Discovery Counselling said: "We believe in the 'Power of Positivity' within Discovery’s service, encouraging, challenging, and supporting every person who walks through the door."
