A group of brothers from Weston shone in the Tommy Hopkins memorial event at the Great Britain Championships in the Midlands last Sunday.
Liam Cawte (10) and Josh Cawte (9) both came away as Great British Champion in their respective fighting categories, Liam at Under 145cm and Josh at Under 135cm, both in the elite section.
The duo also both entered one of the most popular categories of the day in the Elite Under 145cm Points event where both got through to the semi-final stage only to suffer narrow defeats.
As a result had to face off against each other for the first time in a competition where Liam took the bronze medal by a single point.
Ryan (6) claimed a Silver medal in all three categories he entered, including fighting in a height category two years above.
As a result of the performances and placing throughout the year, all three boys have earned the right to represent England at the World Championships next Autumn.
