Weston Tennis Club staged their tournament finals day, which was well attended by club members on what was a warm and sunny afternoon, recently.
The men's final was won in convincing style by John Hunt who beat Walter Byron in straight sets.
The ladies' singles was an entertaining match between mother and daughter, Sabine Germane and 11-year-old Febe Kenna, who won a sports scholarship to Clifton College recently.
There were some excellent rallies throughout but it was Kenna who prevailed winning the encounter in straight sets.
The men's doubles was a battle between Marcus Llewellyn and his partner club, head coach Jamie Allen, and their opponents Steve Dymond and Walter Byron. It was Llewellyn and Allen who claimed the title.
The ladies' doubles was fought between sisters Febe and Rebeka Kenna and their opponents Yuna and Vanessa Byron, three of these participants being under 12 years of age. After a keen encounter it was the Kenna sisters who came out on top.
The mixed doubles was won by Andy McNeil and Tanya Odintsova beating Martyn Salisbury and Rita Granner in what was a very competitive match.
Allen holds sessions for both adults and juniors all throughout the year. For more information please contact Allen on 07790 937448 or view the club website https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/WestonTennisClub for more information.
