Weston-super-Mare CC have announced the signing of Somerset and Scotland all-rounder Josh Davey.
Davey, who has been with Somerset since 2014 and has had spells with Hampshire, Leicestershire and Middlesex, boasts an impressive professional record, including 182 first class wickets, as well as five 50s.
He has represented Scotland 62 times, including at the 2015 World Cup and the 2022 T20 World Cup.
Davey, 33, joins Weston as their first signing ahead of the 2024 season, and Head of Cricket Rob Turner said he is delighted to bring someone of his talents to Devonshire Road. “Josh is a great signing for the the club,” Turner told the club’s website.
“He’s obviously a high quality all-round cricketer, with a huge amount of professional and international experience.
“We’ve had some brilliant pros representing the club in the last few years, and we know Josh will carry this tradition on”.
Davey will be sponsored by James White Sales for the upcoming campaign.
