A local Uphill Castle cricketer has been called up by Somerset for the boys under-15s tour to Sri Lanka this month.
Tommi Davis will be travelling to South Asia between February 7 and 19.
Davis, 15, joined Uphill Castle for the 2023 season from Weston and in his first season, he debuted for their under-15s, under-16s, under-19s, Midweek, Sunday teams, Second XI and First XI.
His parents, Michelle and Tyson say they are incredibly proud of all his cricketing achievements, but being selected for the Sri Lanka tour is the icing on the cake for him and has is a reward for all his hard work for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Davis will be sponsored by Technical ERP under John Davidson.
“We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to John Davidson at Technical ERP for your support and generosity," said mother Michelle Ho.
“We are immensely proud of Tommi and hope he has the best time with his team in representing his County and experiencing the highlights Sri Lanka has to offer.”
