The Wedmore Seniors battled the gloomy weather long enough for Quinton Thorne to win Division 3 with 38 points, writes Anthony Biggs. He was closely chased by both Dave Pilling and Ken Lohmann.

Graham Sugg won Division 1 with 37 points, two better than second placed Steve Plant with Geoff Fisher third on 32. Steve Major took the honours in Division 2, followed by Graham Kendell and Richard Efford. 34 points was enough to win Division 4 for Geoff Brooks, pipping Geoff Musson-Thorp and Tony Ireland.

Wedmore Ladies took on the Bowmaker and taking first place was the team of Ann Dixon, Sue Mcdonald and Mary-Lou Denny with 64 points. Minor places went to Lyn Bird, Ruth Rogers and Ali Mantell, and Jill Cornelius, Prue Witter and Maggie Tolchard.

Andrew Page-Dove and Paul Russell scored 40 points in the Club qualifier for the Daily Mail Foursomes, a great score in a tough format.
