SOMERSET spinner Jack Leach will return to England after sustaining a knee injury whilst on England duties.
Leach has been ruled out of the rest of England Men’s Test tour of India with a left knee injury.
He sustained the injury during England’s first Test victory in Hyderabad and missed the second Test in Vizag as a result.
The bowler is expected to fly home from Abu Dhabi in the next 24 hours leaving the England cricket camp ahead of the third Test in Rajkot, which starts on Thursday.
In terms of treatment, Leach will work closely with the England and Somerset medical teams to aid his rehabilitation.
England will not be calling up a replacement for the remainder of the tour as the bowling attach features other spinners Tom Hartley, Rehan Ahmed and fellow Somerset spinner Shoaib Bashir.
This injury setback is yet another in Jack Leach's unlucky history. Here's hoping he is fit and ready to line-up for Somerset this Summer.
