Winscombe Tennis Club was the proud host of the leading North Somerset Ladies' Doubles Tournament on April 14.
Great games were played under weak sunshine and a dash of breeze, a relief from recent rainy weather.
The clubs in attendance included Backwell, Brent Knoll, Bridgwater, Cheddar, Congresbury, Taunton, Trull, Wedmore and Winscombe.
It provided a memorable experience with five matches of nine games each.
After a well-prepared lunch by Denise Landau, the finals saw a repeat of the previous year’s dramatic end.
Juliet Knight of Cheddar and Clare Gass of Wedmore clinched the set, beating Carole Beach and Sue Williamson of Bridgwater at 5-all.
The club extends its gratitude to all players for their high standard of tennis and the participants who contributed to this enjoyable event.
