There were two more division champions determined this week in the Weston and District Football League as Axbridge United and Highburn Athletic lifted the trophies.
First up in Division One Weston Town continued their bid for a treble winning season with a 5-0 victory over Portishead Town ‘A’.
Weston now have to win their one remaining league game to add the Division One title to the two cup trophies they have already got this season.
Worle Reserves also beat Swiss Valley Rangers 2-1.
In Division Two Axbridge United lifted the division’s trophy after a 1-0 victory over Berrow.
Elsewhere Selkirk United lost 6-0 to Axbridge Town, St Georges E-in-G Reserves beat Worle Rangers Reserves 5-1, Haywood Village beat Worle Rangers 4-1 and Spotring Weston drew with St Geroge Easton-In-Gordano Reserves.
In Division Four Highburn Athletic were named divisional champions despite their 4-3 loss to Clevedon United ‘B’.
Their 59 points from 22 games was enough to keep them ahead of runner’s up Weston Crusaders who won 5-0 over Banwell ‘A’, and third placed Weston Celtic who won 10-0 over Coronation United.
