Cheddar Ladies Walking FC entertained local rivals Midsomer Norton last week, with Cheddar winning both games played 2-0 and with two completely different squads.
The Cheddar squad welcomed back several key names for the fixture, allowing them to field five different outfield players for either game with only the phenomenal Lisa Machin playing between the sticks for both.
For the first match the home team lined up with Liz McConnell, Rosie Tucker, Tracey Vallance, and Kerry Hayes, with Machin in goal.
Cheddar put in a terrific all-round performance, with the midfield working hard and defender Ward having an excellent game to earn herself player of the match.
Second half goals from Hayes and McConnell were the difference maker for Cheddar and gave them their first 2-0 win.
In the second game the outfield players for Cheddar were Dawn Clark, Jaqui Lethaby, Nicky Frewin, Clare Martin, and Sarah Williams.
The played an attacking formation with a fearsome spine of Clark, Frewin, and Williams, with Martin and Lethaby attacking from the flanks.
Two goals in the first half put Cheddar ahead and they defended well during a tough second half to see the game out for their second 2-0 victory of the day over some experienced opposition.
