Worle FC have appointed Sam Clements as their new first team manager ahead of their 2024/25 campaign in the Premier Division of the Somerset County League.
Clements has joined Worle from Wrington Redhill FC where he spent time amassing valuable coaching experience under the tutelage of Leigh White.
He also has plenty of experience with Somerset County football having played for Hutton, Congresbury, and Wrington Redhill, as well as a decent stint playing in Worle’s back line.
After Worle managed to narrowly escape relegation from the Premier Division at the end of last season Clements will be hoping to build on the wins from their last few games to help his team finish higher up the table in the upcoming campaign.
After his appointment Clements said: “We have a good group to kick on from last season.
“We have players at a good age and full of experience in the division, so I think the base is there already.
“We will be looking to progress from last season’s position, and finish as high as possible.
“In this league anyone can beat anyone on their day, so we just have to make sure we’re competitive in every game and pick up our points early on in the season.”
