Clarence Bowling Club ladies were on fires this week as they recorded three wins from three whilst the men lost to Victoria in a cup fixture.
Clarence Ladies actually beat Portishead in two of their fixtures.
The first was a Southey Cup match with Clarence winning 71-58 and going through to the next round after winning three of the four rinks.
The second game was in the North Somerset Triples League and the Ladies came away with a close 56-44 win.
Best Rink went to Shirley Searle and Corrine Thomas skipped by Mary Davison who were all square after four ends but took the match by 15 shots.
In their third fixture of the week the ladies took on Nailsea in the County Over 55s three wood pairs and won 17-14.
Lyn Leigh and Christine Hooper came from behind in their game, managing to get back on level terms by the 15th where a three and a single was enough to secure them the win.
Clarence’s men were beaten 64-85 by Victoria in their NSBA KO Cup tie with just one winning rink and one drawn.
The one rink with a win came from Jon Loveridge, Derek James and Ken Marshall skipped by Mick Edlin.
