It was another busy week of bowls down at Congresbury Bowling Club as the squads had a number of both friendly and competitive fixtures.

They welcomed two touring sides and won both matches, beating Bicester 83-73 and then going on to beat the second visiting side Oxford as well.

Westlake, Trow, and Lines recorded the biggest win of the day against Bicester after triumphing 23-13 whilst Haynes, Westlake, and Anniuk also scored 23 points in their game.

Unfortunately, the men's successful National 2 Rink campaign came to an end, when they were beaten at home by Bath A in a close game that ended 29-39 to the visitors.

The rink of Powell, McElduff, Beck, and Shipway faired the best after a tight 18-20 loss in their game.

Lastly, the men had a comfortable win over West Backwell in the Britannia Windows Evening League this week gaining eight out of nine points and winning by 66 shots in a crushing 122-56 victory.
