It has been a great past week for the Ladies at Clarence Bowling Club after they picked up three wins, but there was no such luck for the men.
In the Ladies most important game of the week they took on Portishead in the Somerset Fear Plate and progressed to the next round with a 57-40 win.
Despite losing two of the three rinks they go through on shots scored.
The winning rink of Carol Marshall, Jan Anning and Lyn Leigh, skipped by Carol Edlin, completely dominated their match, running out with a 29- shot victory, to help with the overall points win.
Clarence Ladies then took on Winscombe in the North Somerset Tiples League and fought for another superb win at 65-22, with the squad winning well on all three rinks.
Finally, the Ladies completed their hat-trick of wins with a 53-43 victory over Clevedon in the Top Club competition.
With wins on two rinks and one drawn, Rink of the Day went to Sharon Jones and Val Mellow alongside skip Chris Hooper who pulled their way back for an impressive 14-14 draw.
Elsewhere Clarence Men took on Banwell ‘A’ in the Somerset County League and came up just short in 51-53 loss.
