Ashcombe Park Bowling Club now officially have four new coaches at the club, allowing them to offer qualified coaching sessions to new and experienced bowlers alike.
Four players from the Weston based bowls club have attended the Coach Bowls England course and successfully passed their practical exam at Ilminster Bowling Club.
Louise Carman, Jason Capille, Sean Hopkins and Andy Evans all signed up to the course earlier this year and are very proud of their achievements, along with everyone else at the club.
The practical exam was undertaken by the budding bowls coaches after they had already passed some intense theory and written exams.
This now means Ashcombe Park Bowling Club can offer fully qualified coaching to anyone wishing to learn the game or indeed improve their skills.
Coach Bowls is the only nationally recognised coaching qualification for the sport of bowls in England and is also the only bowls coaching system supported and funded by Bowls England and the EIBA
