Wrington Redhill fell victim to Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves, who continue their fine unbeaten run.
The game kicked off promisingly for the high-flying visitors, with their forward play proving a threat, especially from left-winger Jaden Neale.
His swift movements proved to be a tricky challenge for the Wrington Redhill defence.
At the half-way point of the first half, Neale scored the opener for the visitors, by skillfully directing a pass into the net.
As the game resumed, Wrington Redhill began to find their footing.
However, just as they had begun to gain momentum, a clearance error from keeper Rob Hannah allowed Jack Godfrey to score, putting the away side two goals ahead by the break.
The start of the second half saw Wrington Redhill’s plan to be more compact and press differently swept aside when Dan Berry was dismissed from the game for clashing with an opposing player.
This marked a shift in the dynamic, and the home side adjusted to a 4-4-1 formation.
Their situation worsened shortly after, as a defensive mix-up led to a penalty awarded to Nailsea.
Brandon Hurst scored to put his side 3-0 to the good.
Nailsea & Tickenham seemed eager to extend their lead further.
However, the determined Wrington Redhill fought back, showcasing their tenacity.
Their efforts were rewarded when substitute Kris Bell volleyed in a goal, his second in two games.
Moreover, the comeback continued when team captain Connor Harding-James expertly netted Wrington's Redhill's second goal after Nailsea goalkeeper Mellor fumbled a cross - 2-3.
As the game neared its conclusion, Nailsea & Tickenham defended fiercely, preventing Wrington Redhill from claiming a potentially deserved third and equalising goal.
For a while, it appeared as though an equaliser was imminent.
But instead, Jack English of Redhill was dismissed late in the game for his involvement in an onsite altercation, and with his departure, their hopes of a comeback collapsed.
The final score stood at Wrington Redhill 2, Nailsea & Tickenham 3.
