Weston-super-Mare AFC have been drawn against fellow National League South side Chippenham Town in the next round of the FA Cup.
The Seagulls qualified for the 3rd Round Qualifying of the cup with an emphatic 2-0 away win over Non-League Premier Southern South side Wimborne Town this past Saturday.
They will now travel to the Wiltshire based club later this month for the next round.
Weston will be fancying their chances in the cup tie with the squad on white hot form, currently placing fourth in the table and on a seven-game unbeaten run including their recent two goal victory.
Chippenham on the other hand are not fairing quite so well during their domestic campaign.
The Bluebirds sit 14 places below Weston in the table on nine points, having only won one game of their last five in the league, but they will be looking to continue their cup momentum after recording a solid 6-1 win over local side Nailsea and Tickenham.
The two sides haven’t faced each other in the league yet this season but last season’s results also point in favour of Weston, with Scott Bartlett’s men taking all three points in both fixtures during 2023/24.
Weston travel away to Chippenham on September 28th, kick-off 3:00pm.
