Weston-super-Mare AFC will be returning to league play this week after a successful weekend saw them progress into the next round of the FA Cup.
The high-flying Seagulls will be taking on Dorking Wanderers at The Optima Stadium on Saturday and will be looking to continue their unbeaten run.
Weston are currently unbeaten in seven matches in all competitions after their 2-0 FA Cup win against Wimborne Town on the weekend, and sit fourth in the league table.
Across those matches Weston have managed to net 12 goals whilst conceding just three, stats that show the fine form that Scott Bartlett and his men have found themselves in.
Dorking, meanwhile, will be trying to kickstart their somewhat lacklustre start to the season after being relegated to the National League South at the end of last campaign.
They find themselves 13th in the National League South, having only won three of their eight league games, and are coming off the back of a 1-0 loss to Horsham in the FA Cup.
The two sides have never met in league play and have only met once before, during the qualification stages of the 2022 FA Cup, where Dorking just edged the match 1-0 with a 14th minute goal.
Weston will be hoping for a reversal of that result when the sides meet on September 28th at The Optima Stadium, kick-off 3:00pm, but Dorking will certainly do anything they can to stop them in their tracks.
