The journey of young Henry Robinson's golfing progression over the past few months is a heart-warming testament to his dedication and the vibrant community and nurturing environment fostered at Mendip Spring Golf Club under Scott Thompson, Club General Manager.
Henry's accomplishment in receiving a handicap at the age of six, the youngest ever at the club, is not just a personal milestone, but also a reflection of the club's dedication and commitment to developing young talent.
Coached by Sam Floyd, Henry started lessons at Mendip Spring at the age of five, and with Sam's guidance and encouragement he has been able to develop his skills and talent.
It is with thanks also to the commitment of Jackie Richards (Junior Development Coach and new Club Captain for 2025), working tirelessly to provide the juniors with ample opportunity to hone their skills, that Henry's love of golf has really grown.
Scott Thompson said: “In the future, Henry's name is sure to grace the honour boards and his achievement at such a young age will stand as a beacon of inspiration for all aspiring golfers at the club.”
