St Andrews started the new Wessex League season with a decisive victory over North Wilts.
Four players made their Wessex debuts, and St Andrews won by 21 shots.
At home, Darrell Johnston's rink, including debutant Rob Saddler, maintained control throughout their match.
In contrast, Phil Villis and his team faced a tough competition against the esteemed Andy Moore.
At the North Wilts ground, St Andrews' rinks trailed for a significant portion of the game.
However, Danny Denison's rink turned the tide, scoring 10 shots in the remaining time to win by six, showcasing Denison's impressive skills.
Villis, playing at St Andrews, similarly turned the game around, scoring 10 unanswered shots from a 10-10 draw with three ends remaining.
Until the final stages, the overall score remained closely contested, but St Andrews' finishing strength secured their victory.
Saints' other debutants were Dan Swift and Tim Salter.
