BACKHOUSE has continued its support of local sports clubs by sponsoring Sporting Weston FC Vixens U14s and its men's first team with some much-needed all-weather training jackets to kick off the new season.

Demonstrating its longstanding commitment to supporting local communities and promoting youth sports development, Adam Marks from Backhouse presented the new kit to the club at the first game of the season.

Ian Jones, chief executive officer at Backhouse, said: “We believe in the power of community and the importance of nurturing young talent.

“Building strong communities and supporting local sports teams are a key part of that.

“We are proud to sponsor the Sporting Weston FC Vixens U14 team and the men's first team by providing some essential training jackets for the season to come.

“We would like to wish all the club’s teams the best of luck for the season ahead.”

Paul Owen from Sporting Weston FC added: “We are incredibly grateful to Backhouse for its generous support.

“The new all-weather tops will make a significant difference to our training sessions, particularly as we head into the colder months.

“This sponsorship not only provides our players with the best possible gear but also shows them that their efforts and commitment are recognised and valued by the wider community.

“It's partnerships like these that help grassroots sports thrive, and we're excited to continue our season with Backhouse by our side."

Earlier in the year, award-winning housebuilder Backhouse announced its recent acquisition of land for 77 new homes at Mead Fields, and is about to start building a range of high quality one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes at the site.

Backhouse has designed a sustainable neighbourhood including electric vehicle charging points and water butts for all homes, alongside solar panels on selected properties.

To maximise biodiversity potential and to support the local ecosystem, the company will also install bat, bird and bug boxes and plant a variety of native trees.

In addition, large swathes of public open spaces are to be provided around the wider site for the enjoyment of residents. Backhouse is currently constructing over 300 homes across four developments in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset.
