Worlebury were crowned Seniors Somerset Rose Bowl winners.
The final was played at a rain-soaked Mendip Spring Golf Club after being postponed from September due to flooding.
It was contested between Worlebury Golf Club and Cricket St Thomas Golf Club.
Both teams, having won their respective divisions this season, engaged in a fiercely competitive battle, with all five games remaining undecided until the 17th hole.
In Game 1, the Worlebury duo of Dave Mellor and Tony Western fended off several comebacks from their Cricket St Thomas rivals to win 1-up on the 18th hole.
Game 2 saw Keri Allchurch and Steve Taylor clinch a second point for Worlebury with a 2&1 win on the 17th, another tightly contested match that was never more than one hole apart until the finish.
Game 3 was the first point scored for Cricket St Thomas, as the experienced pair of Julian Winn and Mike Keen narrowly lost 1-down on the 18th tee.
In Game 4, Paul Wheeler and Kev Marshall mounted a remarkable comeback.
After being three down at the turn, they won the next six holes and secured the tie on the 17th.
Game 5 featured Worlebury team captain Bob Spence and Dave Treleaven.
The Worlebury pair led throughout the match but had to fend off a late challenge from their opponents to also win on the 17th green.
This sequence of results resulted in a 4-1 victory for the Worlebury seniors team, marking their first title win in the club's history.
